FAQ
Where is the Welcome Centre?
As of June 22, 2024 our Welcome Centre is located at 268 Bluerock Street SW facing south onto Alpine Avenue SW.
What type of community fees and what do they cover?
Alpine Park has both a Homeowner Association as well as some homes and multi-family residences that are part of a condominium. Not all parks are built alike. Alpine Park’s Homeowner Association empowers the community with dramatically upgraded public spaces, with elevated maintenance standards, higher quality amenities, and better long-term care of these vital neighbourhood hubs.
Does Alpine Park have a local school?
Alpine Park has two designated school sites located in the community. There will be a CBE Elementary site for K-6 in addition a Catholic (K-9). While there is no timeline for building on this site, the Calgary Board of Education (CBE) and Calgary Catholic School District (CCSD) have appointed various Regular and Alternative Program schools for students residing in Alpine Park.
If I live in Alpine Park, do I own the land?
Yes. Alpine Park is within the City of Calgary on private land.
Is there public transportation available?
Currently Alpine Park does not have any public transportation services within the community, although the community is designed for a future BRT route link.
Do homes in the community require solar?
Homes in Alpine Park do not require solar, but our builder partners have worked together to ensure all homes in Alpine are solar ready.
Can I swim or skate on Skyline Pond?
No. Skyline pond is a Storm Pond and is not safe for leisurely activities. Some of Dream's communities have storm ponds to collect and hold rainfall and snowmelt before it reaches our rivers, creeks, and streams. This runoff collects sediment as it travels across properties, streets, and roads. By capturing and holding stormwater for a period of time, storm ponds allow sediments to settle, the water is then slowly released to our rivers, creeks, and streams.
Does Alpine Park have a community garden?
The community has multiple community gardens throughout the green court systems! If you are a resident in Alpine and are looking to get a plot, you can reach request a plot through the TownSq, the resident platform used for the HOA.
