Meet Alpine’s Community Ambassadors
Welcome to the Welcome Centre in Alpine Park!
Meet Sophia:
I’m a recent Sociology and Urban Studies grad who just moved back to my hometown Calgary after having lived in Vancouver for the past few years. In my spare time you can find me cooking/baking, reading in the sun or cycling both mountain and urban paths. I’m really passionate about people feeling a sense of belonging in cities and get excited about local community involvement.
- What do you love about Alpine Park?
- I love Alpine Park’s vision to create a community with people at the centre, whether through street-facing porches, walkable amenities, or shared green spaces.
- If you could move into your favourite Alpine Park showhome today, which one would it be and why?
- My favourite Alpine Park showhome is the Vista by Calbridge Homes. I can imagine myself watching many summer sunsets from the rooftop patio!
- Alpine Park is looking forward to the opening of its Village Centre. What retailer would you love to see and why?
- I would love to see a local bakery open a location in Alpine Park’s Village Centre. Mari Bakeshop, La Boulangerie and Sidewalk Citizen are some of my favourites in the city.
Meet Kirsten:
Hello! I’m Kirsten and I was born and raised in Calgary and truly believe it’s the best place to live! I love to spend time outdoors, hanging out with my puppy, and spend lots of my weekends in gyms coaching youth volleyball. I love to be involved with the communities I’m a part of and identify how together we can help create healthy and vibrant communities.
- What do you love about Alpine Park?
- Alpine Park is situated in an excellent location close to the mountains and Kananaskis and thanks to the ring road, you can easily get anywhere in the city. As well, outdoor adventures and downtown date nights are equally within reach. I enjoy the park spaces throughout the community with lit paths that can connect you throughout the community day or night.
- If you could move into your favourite Alpine Park showhome today, which one would it be and why?
- My ultimate dream home would be Homes by Dream’s Engler showhome model. It is so light and airy with beautiful big windows that face out over Hearth Green park where you can see the gardens growing in the summer.
- Alpine Park is looking forward to the opening of its Village Centre. What retailer would you love to see and why?
- I would love to see either Made By Marcus or Village Ice Cream! I can picture warm summer days taking a walk or bike to the Village Centre to enjoy some ice cream with neighbours and friends.
